
One of our favorite dishes in the downtown Austin arena.
This beef is from the pieces of tenderloin that Ruth's Chris serves. After they cut the steaks from the whole tenderloin, they shave this stunning carpaccio from the end.
It's served chilled and drizzled with their mildly tangy "special sauce."
The accompaniments are just right -- capers, fresh lettuce, onions, chopped tomatoes, shaved hard Parmesan, and toast crisps.
Makes a light meal for two. A Pinot Noir adds to the experience.
BTW-- it's half price at Happy Hour in the Bar/Lounge, 4:30-7:00, M-F.
