Want to treat yourself (or someone else) to something really special? Head to Austin's Cookie Lounge, helmed by Mark Chapman (former executive pastry chef at the nearby Driskill Hotel) and order a homemade, customized cookie...or two... or a baker's dozen!
My box included fresh-out-of-the-oven dark Belgian chocolate cookies with candied ginger and white chocolate chips, "Dottie's oatmeal" with milk chocolate and blueberries, and vanilla sweet cream cookies with butterscotch and toasted almonds.
When you customize your cookies, you can choose from six different doughs and more than 30 mix-ins, like marshmallows, goji berries, and ancho-roasted cashews.
I give Cookie Lounge a big thumbs up for offering gluten-free cookie dough options, as well as using local dairy "Remember When Dairy" Farm for their fresh milks (which you can order served straight up cold, shaken with flavored syrups or with ice cream as a milkshake). Bonus points too for using real butter, cage-free eggs, organic flour and un-bleached boxes.
These cookies melt in your mouth. The only problem: once you start eating them, it's basically impossible to stop. :)

What do you suggest as a good assortment of flavors for a box? Yum!!!
I'd say go with what your taste buds are craving. I love peanut butter and chocolate, and feel like it's hard to go wrong with peanut butter dough and chocolate chips (I know, so unoriginal...what can I say?), but with 30 mix-ins and six different doughs, the sky's the limit!
